Mary Hunn, RD
Mary is one of the founding partners of Done Right Food Services, Inc. She has been a Registered Dietitian for almost 25 years after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota. As a college student, she held restaurant and concessions management positions. After graduation, she held a variety of community and clinical nutrition positions in local clinics and hospitals. In 1990, Mary joined the child nutrition division of the Minnesota Department of Education. Over the next 15 years, she experienced a wide range of leadership, management, supervision, and specialist roles with the Department of Education.
In 2005, she joined Designs for Learning, an educational consulting firm. As Director of School Nutrition Services, she has been able to share her extensive experience in the administration and operations of child nutrition programs and services. Mary has comprehensive knowledge and expertise in all areas of government school nutrition programs administration, business management, and food service operations.
In 2007, she and her business partner began Done Right Food (DRF). Their unique set of wide-ranging skills and knowledge allows DRF to be a truly different catering company specializing in providing healthy delicious food and expert nutrition services with a professional business approach. After many years of widely varied experiences working with school meal programs, Mary feels a need --- as well as a responsibility --- to provide another food service option for schools to be able to do the right thing for students.
